Gardening Assistant
The Sale Botanic Gardens are located as part of the LakeGuthridge Parklands precinct, surrounding Lake Guthridge in the centre of Sale.The Sale Botanic Gardens originated in 1860 when approx. 20 hectares of landwas set aside as a botanic garden. Twenty four years later, additional swampyland, now Lake Guthridge, was included in the site. Today the Gardens occupy just over 5 hectares. The dedicatedFriends Group was established around 1999 to assist with the promotion andactivation of the Gardens. Over the past 15 years projects have included:
·Annual Teddy Bear Picnics for Prep students
·Community Fun Days
·Grow the Gardens Day
·Monthly Gardening Days (2nd Thursday of eachmonth 10am-12pm)
